The Bauhaus was opened in March 1919 in Weimar Germany and the architect Walter Gropius was invited to run the school. Later it moved to Dessau and finally settled in Berlin. Partly inspired by the Russian Constructivist Movement led by Tatlin andRodchenko, Gropius developed the school to unite all artistic disciplines and bridge the gap between fine art and applied arts.

Following our last popular show with Small Pictures the theme of this show will be large pictures and includes a number of artworks previously not seen in the gallery.

Born in Wales, the son of the painter John Uzzell-Edwards, he has exhibited work around the world; London, New York, Paris, Stockholm, Sidney, Barcelona and many more. Now, here at The White Room Gallery in Royal Leamington Spa, we are delighted to announce an exhibition of his original works and limited edition prints.

Our exhibition offers a rare opportunity to see all of the prints from the ground breaking suite. First published in 1946, Jazz shows Matisse’s mastery of the “cut out “. Ablaze with vibrant colours the majority of images represent trapeze, knife throwers, cowboy and various other circus acts.

David Daniels (BA, MA) studied Graphic Design at Canterbury University and the Central School of Art. Designs, animations and films have earned Daniels a reputation as a sought after creative for the likes of Honda, Nike, BBC and Channel 4.

We are pleased to announce our first exhibition of 2018, Land and Sea. Our exhibition will feature new constructions by landscape artist Phil Goddard alongside work by Tim Southall and new artist Adrian Bradbury.

The White Room Gallery presents a new exhibition celebrating Black and White images featuring etchings, photographs, silk screens, oils and lithographs.

Born Colin Fulcher, Barney Bubbles was a visionary graphic artist who’s influence is felt to this day. 

This year our Christmas exhibition will feature Urban Art. 

Urban Art, Graffiti, Street Art, call it what you may, has become part of the mainstream but retains an edge with its social commentary and humour.
